Introduction
1.1. Background of this handbook (Right to Information Act, 2005) :
This hand book is brought out according to Section 4 the Right to Information Act, 2005 in order to provide information for Citizens for securing access to information from the public authorities.
1.2. Objective / purpose of this handbook
This handbook is brought out to facilitate as a tool for setting out the practical regime of right to information under the control of public authorities, in order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of public authority.

Particulars of Organisation, Functions and Duties.
The Pondicherry Industrial Promotion Development and Investment Corporation Limited (PIPDIC) was set up by the Government of Puducherry in 1974 with the twin objective of promoting the Industrial Development of Puducherry and providing financial assistance to entrepreneurs. It is a limited company with an authorized share capital of Rs.45 crores. PIPDIC provides various facilities such as Term loans, Equity participations / Underwriting of Capital issues, Hire Purchase and Lease Financing, IT & Electronic Parks/Growth Centre/Industrial Estates.

BUDGET ESTIMATES
The Budget Estimates for the Financial Year 2010-2011 has
been prepared taking into account the existing activities and
future plans of the corporation.
The Budget estimates have been prepared in six parts as

ACCEPTANCE OF COLLATERAL SECURITY-REVISED NORMS With effect from 9/1/2012 The norms for acceptance of collateral security while considering sanction of term loans. § In respect of immovable property situated in the Union Territory of Puducherry the value of the property to be offered shall be not less than the amount of term loan sanctioned. § In respect of immovable property situated outside the Union Territory of Puducherry the value of the property to be offered shall be not less than 150% of loan amount in case of land with building.
